Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India (HMSI) has revealed its new motorcycle in 160 cc segment named Honda X-Blade at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Honda has unveiled their newest flagship in 160 cc segment named Honda X-Blade at the 2018 Auto Expo. The bookings have officially started at all the authorised Honda dealership centres and actual delivery of motorcycles will start by mid-March 2018.
The above information was given by Mr.Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) Pvt. Ltd. He further added that the Honda X-Blade is aggressively priced under Rs. 79,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
First of all the Styling of the Honda X-Blade will surely make it stand out from its near siblings. Having said that Honda X Blade is built on the same platform of the CB Hornet 160R.
As compared to CB hornet 160R, X-Blade has a more rugged and sharp design and looks more youth-oriented.
The bike has futuristic and also has a unique LED headlamp. The bike also gets a very aggressively styled and a sharp looking fuel tank, rear also get LED tail lamps.
The X Blade comes with a 12-litre fuel tank and weighs around 140 kgs.

The instrument console is unique and is never seen earlier on Honda motorcycles.
The Instrument console is fully digital and shows information like Gear position indicator, Hazard switch and Service due Indicator.
ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS :
The Honda X-Blade is powered by a 162.7cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine based on their very own Honda Eco Technology (HET).
The X blade comes mated with a five-speed gearbox and generates power of 14PS at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6000 rpm.
It will be interesting to see the performance impact the dual exhaust outlet has on the motorbike as it is the first time they are used by Honda in this segment.
The dual exhaust outlet is expected to smoothen ride experience.
Having targeted the youth, the bike has various other features which come handy.
The bike has a new dual outlet port silencer (muffler), link type gear shifter, unique split grab rails and lots of muscular and edgy graphics.
Honda is also planning to include some more optional accessories available like a luggage rack at the rear side, an optional taller windscreen and a tank pad.
The bike is available in 5 colours viz., Matte Marvel Blue, Metallic/ Matte frozen Silver, Metallic/ Pearl Red, Pearl Igneous Black and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.

As stated earlier, the bike is priced at Rs. 79,000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The youth should be delighted with loads of features provided under this price range by the Japanese Auto giants.
The actual delivery of the motorbike will start in March 2018, so it is no big time period till we see this X-blade roaring on the Indian streets.
The bike looks a good prospect on paper and Honda motorcycles have a good history to go with it. The Honda X-Blade will lock horns with the likes of Yamaha FZ, Hero Xtreme Sports and Suzuki Gixxer. Seems like only time will tell the fate and will be interesting to see who comes as the segment leader in near future.
